1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to KOMPASS ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Use ("Terms" or "EULA") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and BreathManu regarding the use of the KOMPASS mobile application (the "App").
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Service Description
KOMPASS is a personal development and goal tracking application that helps users to:
Define a personal annual theme (compass for life direction)
Track daily alignment with their theme through journaling
Monitor progress with streaks, tokens, and analytics
Reflect on personal growth through morning planning and evening check-ins
The App is available at free and premium subscription levels.
3. Subscription Terms
3.1 Subscription Levels
Free Level:
Create and manage an annual theme
Access the home screen/compass
View and edit themes
No subscription required
Premium Level:
All features of the free level included
Daily journaling and reflection
Progress tracking and analytics
Streaks and tokens system
Unlimited journal history
Advanced insights
3.2 Subscription Pricing
Premium Subscription Options:
Annual Subscription: $39.99 per year (approximately $3.33 per month, representing a 17% savings)
Free Trial Period:
A 7-day free trial period may be available for new subscribers (if set up in App Store Connect)
After the free trial period, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless canceled
3.3 Automatic Renewal
IMPORTANT - AUTOMATIC RENEWAL TERMS:
Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each subscription period (monthly or yearly)
You will be automatically charged through your App Store or Play Store account
The subscription will continue until you manual cancel it
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your device's App Store or Play Store settings
No refunds will be provided for the current billing period if canceled mid-period
You will retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing period
3.4 Managing Subscription
To Cancel Your Subscription:
Open your device's Settings app
Tap on your Apple ID (iOS) or Google Account (Android)
Tap “Subscriptions” (iOS) or “Subscriptions” (Android)
Find “KOMPASS” in your subscription list
Tap “Cancel Subscription”
To Restore Purchases:
If you previously purchased a subscription, you can restore it using the “Restore Purchases” feature in the App (if available) or by signing in with the same Apple ID/Google Account used for the original purchase
4. User Responsibilities
4.1 Account Security
You are responsible for:
Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
All activities that occur under your account
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
Ensuring that your account information is accurate and up to date
4.2 Acceptable Use
You agree to:
Use the App only for lawful purposes
Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Not use the App to transmit any harmful code, viruses, or malware
Not interfere with or disrupt the functionality of the App
Not create multiple accounts to bypass subscription limitations
Not share your account credentials with others
4.3 User Content
You retain ownership of all content you create in the App (themes, journal entries, etc.). By using the App, you grant us a license to:
Store your content on our servers
Process and display your content within the App
Use aggregated and anonymized data for analysis and improvement purposes
5. Intellectual Property
5.1 Our Rights
The App, including its design, features, functionality, and content (excluding user-generated content), is the property of BreathManu and is protected by copyright laws, trademark laws, and other intellectual property laws.
5.2 Your Rights
You retain ownership of your user-generated content (themes, journal entries, etc.). We do not claim ownership of your personal data or content.
6. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without any warranties of any kind
We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Our total liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the 12 months prior to the claim
We are not responsible for any data loss, including journal entries or themes
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
7. Disclaimers
The App is provided for personal development and goal tracking purposes only
We do not provide medical, psychological, or professional advice
The App is not a substitute for professional advice, therapy, or medical treatment
Results from using the App may vary from person to person
We do not guarantee specific results from using the App
8. Termination
8.1 Termination by You
You may stop using the App at any time:
By deleting the App from your device
By canceling your subscription (if applicable)
By deleting your account through the App settings
8.2 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if:
You violate these Terms
You engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
We are required to do so by law
We discontinue the App or service
8.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
Your subscription will be canceled (no refunds for the current period)
You will lose access to premium features immediately
Your account and data may be deleted (subject to our Privacy Policy)
You will retain access to your data until your account deletion is complete
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:
Posting the updated Terms in the App
Updating the “Last Updated” date
Sending you a notification via email (for material changes)
Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the App and cancel your subscription.
10. Refund Policy
10.1 Subscription Refunds
No refunds will be provided for subscription fees once charged
If you cancel your subscription, you will retain access until the end of your current billing period
Refunds are handled entirely through App Store or Play Store
If you believe you are entitled to a refund, contact Apple Support (iOS) or Google Play Support (Android)
10.2 Free Trial Period
If you cancel during the free trial period, you will not be charged
If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged for the subscription
11. Dispute Resolution
11.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which BreathManu operates, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
11.2 Dispute Resolution Process

If we cannot resolve the dispute, you may seek legal remedies as permitted by law
12. Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party services, including:
Supabase - For backend services (database, authentication)
Qonversion - For subscription management
App Store / Play Store - For payment processing
Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.
13. Age Restrictions
The App is intended for users who are at least 13 years old. If you are under 13 years old, you may not use the App. If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you represent that you have permission from your parents or guardians to use the App.

15. Severability
